When using a golf cart, please remember these important South Caroline requirements.
Under South Carolina law;
Golf carts are allowed on secondary roads that have a posted speed limit of 35mph or less and can cross primary roads.
Naturally, all state traffic laws must be obeyed, and the seating capacity of the golf cart cannot be exceeded.
On primary highways, you cannot operate a golf cart more than 4 miles from your residence (or where you are staying in the case of events, vacations or recreational use.)
Golf carts cannot be used after dark. Dark is defined as 30 minutes after sunset until 30 minutes prior to sunrise.
Golf carts may not be operated by an unlicensed driver or on the sidewalk.
